‘Bharat Utsav 2026’ to showcase India’s cultural heritage

Doha, Qatar: Indian Cultural Centre in association with the Embassy of India will be presenting “Bharat Utsav 2026” (India Festival), a vibrant celebration of India’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.

This grand two-day cultural extravaganza will be held on January 22 and 23, 2026, from 4pm to 11pm, at the Ideal Indian School Ground.

The announcement was made in a press conference which was attended by H E Vipul Ambassador of India to Qatar, Dr. Vaibhav A. Tandale Counsellor (Head of Chancery and Consular), Embassy of India, AP Manikantan ICC President, P N Babu Rajan ICC Advisory Council Chairman, Shantanu Deshpande Vice President, and V S Mannangi Bharat Utsav Sponsorship Committee Chairman

The highlight of the event will be a live musical concert by the renowned Indian playback singer Srinivas and his team, celebrated for his soulful voice and remarkable versatility across genres and languages.

The performance promises to be a mesmerising musical experience, blending timeless melodies with contemporary favourites and leaving the audience with unforgettable memories.

The ICC Star Singer Grand Finale, another major highlight of Bharat Utsav 2026, will take place on January 22, 2026.

This prestigious singing competition, which commenced in the first week of December 2025, is aimed at discovering and celebrating exceptional musical talent within the Indian community in Qatar.

The journey culminates in a grand finale judged by a distinguished panel that includes renowned singer Srinivasan Doraiswamy, promising an evening of musical excellence and high-quality performances. Bharat Utsav 2026 is set to be one of the biggest cultural events of the year. The festival aims to foster Indo-Qatar friendship and strengthen bonds within the Indian expatriate community through the celebration of Indian culture in all its diversity.

Attendees can look forward to Colourful cultural performances including Live Orchestra, Instrumental Fusion, and Group Dances by talented performers from ICC Associated Organizations, and institutions.

A spectacular Fusion Dance performance blending Thiruvathira from Kerala, Attam from Tamil Nadu, Telugu Dance forms and the traditional Garba (Dandiya) from Gujarat.

A vibrant Cultural Parade showcasing India’s rich cultural diversity through traditional costumes, music, and folk-art forms from various regions of the country. Cultural pavilions representing various Indian states, offering an immersive experience of their heritage and culture.

A dedicated pavilion showcasing Social Service Schemes from the Central and State Governments of India. A vibrant bazaar with stalls featuring Indian handicrafts, traditional garments, jewellery, and a Food Court serving Indian delicacies.
