Doha, Qatar: Qatar Chamber discussed Thursday enhancing trade and economic cooperation, the investment climate and available opportunities with Panama, and the role of the Qatari and Panamanian private sectors in strengthening bilateral trade relations.
This came during a meeting between First Vice-Chairman of the Qatar Chamber ,HE Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari, and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State of the Republic of Panama, HE Carlos Arturo Hoyos, and his accompanying delegation.
HE Carlos Arturo Hoyos extended an official invitation to HE Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari and the Qatar Chamber to participate in the Second International Economic Forum for Latin America and the Caribbean 2026, scheduled to take place in Panama City from Jan 28-29, 2026, under the joint auspices of the Latin American and Caribbean Development Bank (CAF).
Hoyos stated that the forum is a high-level platform that brings together business leaders, officials, and multilateral organisations to enhance dialogue, share best practices, and strengthen regional and international cooperation. He noted that the participation of a business delegation from Qatar will undoubtedly contribute to reinforcing economic, trade, and investment ties between the two countries and expanding the prospects for strategic cooperation for mutual benefit.
For his part, Qatar Chamber First Vice-Chairman praised the strong relations between the two countries, stressing that the Qatar Chamber supports all efforts aimed at enhancing trade and economic cooperation.
He also noted that there are significant opportunities for greater collaboration between the Qatari and Panamanian private sectors by forging trade and investment partnerships that would boost trade exchange between the two countries
