Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Labour, through its Department of Qualifying and Skills Development, conducted a training session yesterday in collaboration with the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants.

The session, titled “Auditing Information Systems”, was designed for private-sector job seekers, including Qatari graduates and children of Qatari women specialising in accounting. It aimed to enhance participants’ skills in accounting and internal auditing, equipping them for careers in the private sector.

This session is part of a series of training programmes jointly organised by the Ministry and the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants. These initiatives align with the Ministry’s strategy to develop a highly skilled national workforce, achieve nationalisation goals, and strengthen the competitiveness of Qataris and children of Qatari women in the labour market.

Participants were trained in the principles and methodologies of internal auditing and their practical application in professional settings. The session provided comprehensive technical and practical knowledge to prepare attendees for the demands of this vital sector.

The initiative reflects the Ministry of Labour’s commitment to the objectives of the Private Sector Nationalisation Law by increasing the representation of Qataris in the private sector. It also contributes to building national expertise, enhancing professional readiness, and boosting productivity in alignment with the human development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030.
