DMIS celebrates Kerala Foundation Day

The Students of Doha Modern Indian School celebrated the ‘Kerala Piravi’ Day or the foundation day of the South Indian state of Kerala on Sunday, in a festive and eventful special assembly.  A variety of cultural events were presented by students commemorating the 58th Anniversary of the formation of the state.  
The assembly started with a Malayalam poem rendered by Uday Krishna of Grade 9A and an introduction was given by Christa Thomas of Grade 7A. A traditional folk song in Malayalam by the students of Grade 9 relived the glorious heritage of the state and Malayalam news was delivered by Anusree of Grade 10. A colourful and vibrant group dance was performed by the students of primary classes and the assembly helped the students to share the rich language, culture and tradition of the state.The Peninsula
