PM to attend Teacher’s Day celebrations

DOHA: The Supreme Education Council (SEC) will tomorrow mark Teacher’s Day and honour 100 long-serving Independent school teachers, some of whom have spent 27-30 years. Prime Minister, Interior Minister and SEC Chairman 
H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani will attend the event at Qatar National Convention Center at 6pm, along with Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Dr Mohammed Abdul Wahed Ali Al Hammadi. 


2003-2007 Toyota models recalled

DOHA: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in collaboration with Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros, the dealer of Toyota in Qatar, has announced the recall of Toyota Yaris and Toyota Corolla 2003-2007 models due to defects in the front passenger’s airbag inflator kit. The recall is part of coordination and follow-up by the ministry to ascertain dealers’ commitment to follow up defects and repair them to protect consumers’ rights. The ministry said it will follow up with the dealer on maintenance and repairs.
