Doha Zoo has witnessed the birth of a Docras gazelle, a species threatened by extinction all over the world, the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning said on its website. The species was classified in 2003 as among the endangered animals by International Union for Conservation of Nature. The Docras gazelle weighs between 12 and 20kg and its speed can reach about 80kmph. It lives in couples during harsh conditions and in groups during appropriate environment.
