Endowments Ministry Launches "Making Impact" Program Events

Doha: The Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, represented by the women activists of the Department of Da'wah and Religious Guidance announced the details of the activities program titled "Making an Impact," which is scheduled to kick off on Sep. 18, 2022, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher education and continues until Oct. 4, 2022.

"Making an Impact" is an educational and advocacy program that intends to achieve a number of objectives, including instilling the correct religious creed in the heart of students, promoting Islamic values and positive behaviour, remedying an array of phenomena and behavioural problems, as well as contributing to Sharia and educational education for children's guardians. Likewise, the program will see the participation of eight elementary and secondary schools (female students) and their adjacent female Quran memorization centres.

In addition, the women activists of the Department of Da'wah and Religious Guidance, and through this program, seeks to hold a number of events that have already been prepared by creating sophisticated educational methods and debates that are primarily based on discussion and dialogue with the daily presence of the working team composed of female preachers and supervisors in the school premises two days a week, in accordance with the predetermined schedule that will not contradict with the educational working progress.

The program entails three tracks, the first one is exclusively related to female students and entails the provision of fundamental guidance material on a monthly basis and would address valued aspects such as respect and filial piety, topics in the religious creed, in addition to a plethora of topics that intend to remedy some behavioural problems and rectify some concepts.

The second track is dedicated to female teachers of Islamic education and includes professional training sessions for them, such as a session on ways of instilling the religious creed, and reflection methodology.

The third track is dedicated to the guardians of female students, mainly mothers with their subsequent presence in some activities and via videoconferencing through a combination of educational meetings with respect to a series of behaviour modifications
