The contingent includes four athletes in field events and two who will take part in track events.
Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Athletics Federation (QAF) has announced the selection of six athletes to represent Qatar at the World Athletics U20 Championships to be held in Oregon, USA, from August 5-9.
The list includes four athletes in field events: Abdullah Al Abdullah (pole vault), Abdulrahman Al Maliki (high jump), Abdulrahman Ibrahim (hammer throw), and Hamad Dhawi (discus throw). The other two athletes are in track events: Youssef Abdulaziz (400m) and Mohammed Waheed (1500m). QAF said that the national team athletes have completed their preparations and aim to achieve the best results at the meet while continuing the successes of Qatari athletics at all levels.
QAF had organised overseas training camps for athletes in Europe and Africa over the past months in preparation for forthcoming championships.
