Doha: Qatar is expected to see the formation of local clouds with a chance of rainfall and isolated thunderstorms on Wednesday, while temperatures are forecast to remain hot to very hot across the country, the Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) said.
The department said the weather will be misty to foggy in some areas at first, before becoming hot to very hot during the day with local clouds that may bring rain, while conditions will turn relatively humid at night.
Latest weather radar images issued by QMD showed the formation of local rain clouds over southwestern parts of the country, which could become thundery at times, prompting the department to urge the public to exercise caution.
QMD also warned of poor horizontal visibility in some inshore areas early in the morning due to mist or fog.
Temperatures are expected to reach 43°C in Doha, Al Wakrah and Al Khor, 41°C in Mesaieed, 40°C in Abu Samra, and 39°C in Dukhan and Al Ruwais.
Winds will be variable at first before becoming mainly northwesterly to northeasterly at 3-13 KT, with offshore gusts reaching 16 KT at times.
Sea conditions will remain relatively calm, with waves of 1 FT inshore and 1 to 3 ft offshore, rising to 4 FT at times.
