Doha, Qatar: The Panda House Park saw an astonishing total of 5,000 visitors during the Eid Al Adha holiday, averaging roughly 1,500 people each day, according to the Ministry of Municipality.

A large proportion of visitors came from neighboring GCC countries. "The park has seen significant interest from families and households from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries," the ministry announced in a tweet.

The Ministry also said that since the park opened in November last year, it welcomed a remarkable number of visitors eager to see the two pandas, Suhail and Thuraya. "Since its opening seven months ago, the park has welcomed a total of 120,000 visitors," stated the ministry.

The two giant pandas from Sichuan Province of China arrived in Qatar on October 19, 2022 and were then transported to their House adjacent to the Al Khor Family Park. With Suhail and Thuraya's arrival, Qatar became the first Middle Eastern country to have giant pandas.

The Panda House Park features a 37-square-metre plant mural, gallery, and education room. Gift shops, a cafe, a veterinary clinic, and prayer rooms are available to visitors.

To visit the park, book your ticket through the Oun application on your iOS or Android phones.
