Maggi row: J P Nadda says will take action after reports from states

Shimla--Health Minister J P Nadda on Thursday said that the government will take final call on Maggi noodles by Thursday evening once he returns Delhi and goes through the reports from the states .

He informed that states were asked to send reports so that a decision could be taken for an appropriate action .

“I can’t announce action right now. I am awaiting reports from the states. Some of them have already banned the sale of Maggi noodles.The states were told to collect samples and sent reports to the centre,” he told media-persons in Shimla.


Nadda said the centre was conscious about health safety of the citizens consuming such products, including Kurkure etc. Safety standards were being checked about all such items ,which is a regular practice .
