Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent a cable of condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia on the death of the mother of Prince Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Deputy Emir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani sent a similar cable to King Salman.
Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani also sent a cable of condolences to King Salman.
Doha: The Doha Municipality, in coordination with Al Fazaa police, removed three illegal portacabins encroaching upon public properties.
Two were found in Hazm Al Markhiya Area No. 67 and the other in Old Airport Area No. 45.
The owners of the cabins will be fined and will have to pay the expenses incurred in removing the cabins. Since the beginning of 2015, property inspectors have registered 39 such violations.
DOHA: The Agriculture Quarantine Office at the Ministry of Environment seized 5,755 shipments totalling 85,824.02 tonnes in May for violating the agriculture quarantine law.
Seventeen infected shipments weighing 60.253 tonnes were destroyed. The office also seized 13 shipments weighing 219 tonnes being exported in violation of the law. QNA
