Several cultural performances and programmes have been lined up at Katara as part of Eid celebrations.
Doha: Cultural, artistic and entertainment activities organised by Cultural Village Foundation, Katara continued on the second day of Eid Al Fitr and will continue for the next two days.
Along the Katara Corniche, Qatari and Arab groups are performing folklore dances which dazzled the audience. Their performances are inspired by the heritage and culture of the Arab countries.
Katara's activities likewise continued spreading joy, especially to children under its programme 'Eid gifts for children'.
Katara’s Eid activities witnessed a large turnout of visitors, as thousands flocked the village on the first and second day of Eid. Meanwhile, entertainment and educational films presented by the Al Thuraya Planetarium in Building 41 also attracted a large number of people. Throughout Eid, between 5pm and 7pm, a selection of special shows are being presented daily, namely: 3D astronaut, Perfect Little Planet, The Universe, and Eight Scoops of Milky Way.
Visitors expressed their happiness to attend and watch the programmes Katara prepared, conveying their great admiration for the wonderful combination and exciting performances the foundation has prepared during the Eid holiday.
Khair Al Din Muhammad , a visitor, said: “I am keen to go to Katara during the blessed Eid Al Fitr holiday, because the village provides its visitors with all the entertainment, fun, and dazzling performances in a family atmosphere.”

Imad Abdel Qader, another visitor, expressed his happiness with the diverse cultural and entertainment programme that Katara offers, pointing out that the activities are enjoyed by all family members. He said Katara has become an ideal and preferred destination during Eid and other holidays. Another visitor Muhammad Adnan said he places Katara as his top destination during the Eid holiday because it brings together culture and entertainment into one area.
