North Indian Association (NIA) recently celebrated “Deepotsava 2014” at Doha Marriott hotel with cultural and musical performances by its members. The event was attended by more than 300 people.
Programme started with a dance performance of Vandana and Pallavi by Lekha Mohanty group in which Debjani Maiti, Sangita Pattnaik, Swastika Maiti, Saistutee Mohapatra, Nandita Meher, Tiana Samal, Prisha Sahoo, Sara Pattnaik, Kaishvi Praveen and Aishwaraya Swain performed. Two little members Ashna Bahl and Srishti Lalwani also presented their dance.
Jaanvi and Sakshi Lalwani rocked the floor with their Bollywood number. Just Dance group of Avisha Sharma, Sneha Chandanani and Mohak Vaswani thrilled the audience with their performance.
Later Neha Mulchandani, Sakshi Sukhnani, Ritika Mansukhani and Juhi Gabra’s took to the stage with their entertaining dance. NIA’s women members Pooja Jindani, Jyoti Wadhwani, Monika Modi and Kuldeep Kour Bahl surprised the audience with their performance. NIA’s singers Abhijit Sarkar and Priyanka Dodia gave tribute to R D Burman with their melodious voice.
There was also a couple performance by NIA Management Committee member couples Praveen Sharma, Mansi Sharma, Abhijit Sarkar, Sudipta Sarkar, Pradeep Jiandani and Pooja Jiandani. Singing Bird Band group entertained the audience with their musical presentation.
Jatinder Bajaj, Kuldeep Kour Bahl, Nisha Chandnani, Mansi Sharma and Samiksha Arora were ‘masters of ceremony’ at the event.
Entire programme was coordinated by Praveen Sharma. Cultural programme was coordinated by Kuldeep Kour Bahl with the support of Pooja Jiandani and Monica Modi. Stage, music and sound coordination was handled by Abhijit Sarkar.
Raffles draw and stage activities were managed by Sanjay Arora. Harish Kanjani and Mukesh Singh welcomed all new members and presented the vote of thanks. Administrative work was handled by Kanjani, M K Singh, Naresh Lalwani, Sudhir Gupta, Punit Jain and Milan Arun supported the event in various roles.
