MES Indian school celebrated National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas), the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabai Pattel, in line with the directions of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), at the school with fun and fanfare recently. Sardar Vallabai Pattel, popularly known as the ‘Iron man of India’, was a veteran freedom fighter who integrated the national unity of the post independent India.
Special assemblies were held at Boys’, Girls’, CBSE(i), Junior and Kindergarten sections of the school. During the programme Principal A P Sasidharan addressed the gathering highlighting the significance of national integrity, irrespective of cast, creed, region or gender. He also stressed to relive the life and vision of that great personality which is a real tribute to him.
During the programme, an oath taking ceremony was conducted at all the sections of the school. In the Boys’ Section students along with teachers and school officials participated in the ‘Run for unity’, a programme to spread the message of unity in diversity.
