Doha: Engineers Hockey Club was formally launched at the Hockey House in Mammoora recently making it the eight registered Hockey Club in Qatar.
The Club, formed under the initiative of a group of Engineers from Hyder Consultants, is led by Pritpal Singh, a Canadian citizen. The Club has players from various countries and various Engineering offices in Doha.
Atul Despande an Engineer from Hyder highlighted that the objective of the club was to enjoy the game of hockey through regular training sessions and social networking with a lot of emphasis on physical fitness and youth development.
The Qatar National League starts on November 1 and Qatar Hockey Federation is looking forward to a number of new players joining the League.
