Doha: Toyota yesterday announced a steady growth in sales in the Middle East (GCC, Yemen, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq) selling 356,805 units in the first half of 2014 which is a six percent growth in sales as compared to the same period in 2013. Toyota’s sales saw a balanced growth across its diverse portfolio of sedans, SUVs and pickups to maintain its leadership position in the region.

Sales of the new look Yaris sedan saw a 63 percent increase as it sold 27,823 units in 2014 with customers appreciating the car for its superior value and performance combined with its style and durability.
The superior performance and capability, fun to drive experience and striking design of the RAV4 pushed sales by 34 percent to hit 7,960 units in the first 6 months of 2014.
Sales of Toyota’s iconic Land Cruiser SUV with its sophisticated blend of off-road performance, phenomenal go-anywhere capability, on-road comfort and unparalleled refinement, also witnessed an increase selling 41,083 units during the first half of 2014 to see a four percent increase.
