Doha, Qatar: The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) has warned travellers to be cautious and to refrain from sharing boarding pass photos on social media while travelling.

In a social media post on Monday, August 3, 2026, the agency stated that sharing such information can expose travellers’ personal information and travel details.

It further noted that the printed QR code on boarding passes can also serve as a link to travellers’ personal information.

NCSA advised travellers to share their happy moments on social media with families and friends but to completely conceal their personal information before doing so.
