Doha: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held separate phone calls with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly United Arab Emirates HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia HH Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al-Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly State of Kuwait HE Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman HE Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain HE Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.
The calls dealt with discussing bilateral cooperation and the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate and enhance the region's security and stability.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foriegn Affairs stressed during the calls the importance of having all parties commit to dialogue and diplomacy, implementing what was agreed in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, to maintain the region's security and protect the gains made and enhance regional stability.
His Excellency renewed the State of Qatar's support for all efforts to defuse tensions and reach a comprehensive agreement that establishes permanent peace in the region.
