Doha, Qatar: Oman has exempted citizens of more than 100 countries and territories from entry visa requirements for stays of up to 14 days, as part of efforts to facilitate tourism and enhance visitor services.
According to Omani authorities, the countries benefiting from the exemption are divided into two groups, with separate eligibility criteria.
Visitors must hold a passport valid for at least six months, a confirmed return ticket, a hotel reservation, valid health insurance, and sufficient financial means to cover their stay.
For citizens of countries included in the second group, additional conditions apply.
They must either hold a valid visa or residency permit for the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, a Schengen country or Japan, or be residents of a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country in an eligible profession.
The visa-free stay is limited to 14 days and cannot be extended or converted into any type of residence visa. The exemption also applies to spouses and children accompanying eligible travelers, even if they hold different nationalities.
Citizens of GCC member states, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, do not require a visa to enter Oman.
The Royal Oman Police (ROP) manages visa procedures for travelers who require entry visas.
