Doha: The General Cleanliness Department in the Public Services Affairs Sector removed over 126 tonnes of miscellaneous waste (domestic, construction, and solid) in July.
The department also disposed of over 52 tonnes of wastes which were dumped randomly, said the Ministry of Municipality in a statement.
A total of 10,469 used tires, 134 signboards, 496 carcasses of dead animals, 340 abandoned cars were also removed during the period.
The department also recorded 125 violations of the Public Hygiene Law. The General Cleanliness Department also responded 1,745 requests for public service, provided 728 new waste containers and 301 container contracts, and washed more than 25,000 garbage containers.
