DOHA: Female students topped in the first stage secondary school certificate examination for the academic year 2014-15, results showed yesterday.
The top five were female students and the highest marks scored was 99.03 percent, followed by 98.8 and 98.7 percent.
Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary-General of Supreme Education Council (SEC) H E Mohammed Abdul Wahed Ali Al Hammadi yesterday approved the results.
Khalid Al Harqan, Director, Evaluation Institute, SEC, told a press conference that 10,318 students took exams and 72.26 percent from day schools passed.
In evening education, success ratio was 9.37 percent and in home schooling 8.24 percent.
Success ratio at Religious Institute Preparatory and Secondary Independent School For Boys was 78.95 percent.
Qatar Independent Technical Secondary School for Boys saw a success ratio of 37.66 percent and Qatar Banking Studies and Business Administration Independent Secondary School for Boys 97.56 percent.
