Police kill four ‘terrorists’ in Karachi shootout

KARACHI: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of the Karachi Police killed four “terrorists” in a shootout in Baldia Town area of the city on late Saturday night. 

According to details, a raid was carried out in Ittehad Town locality of Balida on a tip off about presence of some militants.  

CTD Incharge Ali Raza said the terrorists opened fire during the raid, and four gunmen were injured in the retaliatory fire. 

He said that the four men succumbed to their wounds when they were being shifted to a hospital for treatment. 

Police said that the suspects were affiliated with a banned organization and a huge cache of arms and explosive material was also recovered during the raid.
