JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold on Tuesday a workshop on fighting extremism and incitement to violence in the cyberspace.
Director of Information Technology Department of the OIC Wajdi bin Humaid said in a statement that organizing this workshop comes in implementation of the recommendations of the Executive Committee meeting, held last February at the ministerial level, pointing out that the Ministers called for a meeting of experts to discuss ways to tackle electronic security threats.
He added that the workshop will focus on the definition of terrorist activities on cyberspace, determining the rationale and motivation behind the threats to cyber security.
