RRA reveals intention to review real estate companies services fees

Doha, Qatar: Chairperson of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RRA) H E Eng Khaled bin Ahmed Al Obaidli revealed the authority’s intention to review the fees for services provided by real estate companies, ensuring transparency and protecting the rights and interests of all parties, as well as discussing the possibility of reducing these fees for citizens and investors.

During his visit to Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, along with Assistant Undersecretary for Real Estate Registration and Documentation Affairs at the Ministry of Justice and Chairman of the Committee for Regulating Non-Qatari Ownership and Utilization of Real Estate Said bin Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Al Obaidli pointed out global indicators where Qatar has excelled. 

He expressed admiration for the measures taken by Qatari Diar Company.

For his part, Al Suwaidi praised the collaborative efforts of the entities involved in the real estate sector, highlighting the contribution of non-Qatari property ownership offices in serving the authority to enhance the sector’s attractiveness and improve services for property owners and investors.

CEO of Qatari Diar Eng Ali Mohammed Al Ali, commended the role of RRA and the Ministry of Justice in the real estate sector development, and praised the cooperation between the authority and companies operating in the sector.

During the visit, the delegation, as part of the series of meetings conducted by the RRA in collaboration with various relevant entities in the country, learned about Qatari Diar’s experiences in real estate development. They also visited the single window centre, which provides the Ministry of Justice’ services.
