Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) H E Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit with US Secretary of Defence H E Lloyd Austin.
Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) H E Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit has participated in the ceremony held by the US Central Command on the occasion of General Michael E Kurilla assuming command to succeed its former Commander General Kenneth McKenzie, at the Tampa Convention Center in the city of Tampa in Florida state.
The ceremony was attended by Head of the International Military Cooperation Authority H E Brigadier General Abdulaziz Saleh Al Sulaiti, Defence Attache of the State of Qatar in the United State Brigadier General (Air) Ali Mohamed AlKuwari, and a number of senior officers in the armed forces.
On the sidelines of the event, the Chief of Staff met separately with US Secretary of Defence H E Lloyd Austin; Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States Army H E General Mark Alexander Milley; Commander of the US Central Command H E General Michael E Kurilla; and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan H E Major General Yousef Huneiti, in addition to a number of military commanders.
During the meetings, they discussed issues of common interest, and reviewed relations of cooperation and ways to enhance and develop them.
The meetings were attended by a number of senior officers from the Qatari Armed Forces.
