The Public Works Authority, Ashghal, has announced that it will close the 1.4 kilometre long eastbound lane (towards Olympic Roundabout) on Al Rayyan Bridge and convert the other half of the carriageway to accommodate two-way traffic (one lane in each direction).

The diversion will be implemented from Thursday, January 5, and last for six months in coordination with the Traffic Police Department.

During this period, road users travelling from Dukhan towards Olympic Roundabout (known as Sports Roundabout), can either use the designated eastbound lane on Al Rayyan bridge, or follow the diversion signs towards Al Rayyan Roundabout were they will be able to take the second exit and continue their journey onwards as shown on the attached map.
