Real estate trading volume exceeds QR670m last week

Doha: The volume of real estate trading in sales contracts registered with the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice during the period from Nov. 20 to November 24 amounted to QR670,749,418.

The weekly bulletin issued by the Real Estate Registration Department stated that the list of real estate traded for sale included vacant lands, residences, residential buildings, a residential tower and a residential complex.

Sales operations were concentrated in the municipalities of Al Wakra, Doha, Al Daayen, and Al Shamal.

The trading volume during the period from November 13 to November 17 amounted to QR354,812,219. 

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which kicked off on November 20 in the country, provided impetus to all sectors of the Qatari economy, including the real estate sector, whose fields received huge investments in light of the government’s keenness to provide the necessary incentives for this sector.

The real estate sector has benefited over the past 12 years from huge spending on “major projects” and infrastructure projects related to the World Cup, since Qatar's historic victory in organising the most prominent global football event
