Sri Lankan Sports Club (SSC) Wakrah will be organising an eleven-a-side 8-over MRI “Nations Cup” cricket tournament for the 17th consecutive year with the participation of many teams from the multinational community in Qatar.
The tournament which will be played on a league basis starting from October 10 is being played at the Asghal ground, which is located behind the Medical Commission.
An estimated crowd of around 2,500 people from the multinational communities will have the opportunity to be a part of this tournament through their participation and presence at the matches.
“The club owes its gratitude to the past Presidents and Executive Committee members for their dedication and untiring efforts which has been of immense help towards the growth of the club,” said SSC Wakrah General Secretary Ravi Silva.
President M H Ariyapala thanked all those who have contributed in many ways towards the clubs success and growth and expressed his gratitude to the past and present sponsors and well wishes for their contribution towards this annual cricket tournament and other community events.
