Secretary-General of the Shura Council HE Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Fadhala
DOHA: The State of Qatar, represented by Shura Council, will chair the 9th Annual Conference of the Arab Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments (AASGP) which will be held in Cairo, Egypt on September 4 and 5.
Secretary-General of the Shura Council and President of the Arab Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments HE Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Fadhala will represent Qatar at the meeting.
The conference will discuss several topics related to the role of the General Secretariat in supporting the legislative process, and ways to develop its work mechanisms through exchanging expertise and viewpoints among the participants and benefiting from their experiences.
The conference is scheduled to feature the 40th General Assembly meeting, and a workshop on the functions of the Secretary-General in the Arab countries.
Qatar won the presidency of the Arab Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments in the AASGP elections in February 2022 in Cairo.
