Qatar SC, Mesaimeer post preseason wins

Action during the friendly match between Qatar SC and Al Markhiya, recently in Doha. Qatar SC won 3-0. 

 

Doha:  Qatar Sports Club and Mesaimeer ensured they will go into the new Qatar Stars League (QSL) season with confidence by registering impressive victories in their friendly matches in Doha.
Qatar SC who enjoyed a successful run last season by finishing fourth in the lucrative event, thrashed Al Markhiya 3-0 after a commanding display. 
Ibrahim Jamal, Hamdi Harboui and Ismail Belmeallem were the goal scorers in one-sided win.
 Meanwhile,, Mesaimeer who will make their QSL debut this season defeated the Bahraini club Al Muharraq 3-1 in their friendly match at the Al Gharafa ground.
Abdel Aziz Sherif, Saoud Al Ali and the Iranian Mohamed Nouri scored goals for the winners while Karim Butajin was the lone scorer for the losing side. 
Mesaimeer’s Head Coach Rodion Gaanin was keen to field several players during the game in order to enhance the players’ readiness for the start of the new QSL campaign. Meanwhile, Al Gharafa introduced their new Iranian signing Masoud Shojaei at a press conference on Monday. Shojaei will replace Australian midfielder Mark Bresciano.
Team Manager Saoud Fath and the club’s Media Officer Taha Al Muhazaa were also present at the press conference. 
Fath informed Shojaei is the fourth and final foreign player to be signed this summer following the acquisitions of Tunisian Al Chikhani, the Congolese striker Dioko and the Brazilian defender Anderson. 
The star said: “I am so happy to join Al Gharafa after representing Al Shahaniya during the previous season. I have encountered Al Gharafa and witnessed some of their matches. It is a big team with a huge reputation in the Qatar Stars League.”
“I had several offers but my decision was to go with Al Gharafa because of their reputation and the quality players they have.”
