Doha, Qatar: Qatar Tourism has concluded a series of training workshops designed to support applicants for the fourth edition of the Qatar Tourism Awards 2026, providing practical guidance on the application process ahead of the September deadline.

According to posts on Qatar Tourism social media accounts, the workshops focused on helping participants create profiles, understand registration requirements, meet submission criteria, and apply best practices when completing their entries. Organised as part of Qatar Tourism’s efforts to enhance accessibility and improve the applicant experience, the sessions aimed to equip tourism and hospitality businesses, institutions, and professionals with the tools needed for strong submissions.

Applications for the awards remain open until September 16, 2026. Interested parties can continue to seek assistance through Qatar Tourism’s 106 contact centre throughout the remaining application period.

The fourth edition of the Qatar Tourism Awards was officially launched on June 17 during a press conference, inviting entries from across the tourism and hospitality sectors. Developed in partnership with the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), the awards recognise excellence, innovation, and sustainability while highlighting contributions that strengthen Qatar’s position as a leading global tourism destination.

This year’s programme introduces several enhancements. A new application portal, developed in collaboration with the Hayya Platform, offers a streamlined process with simplified profile creation, improved navigation, and a more user-friendly experience. Applicants can manage their submissions more efficiently from start to finish.

A notable addition is the Outstanding Qatar Vlog of the Year award under the Digital Footprint category. The new recognition acknowledges the growing influence of content creators and digital storytellers in showcasing Qatar’s attractions and shaping perceptions among local, regional, and international audiences.

The awards cover key areas of the visitor experience through main categories that include Service Excellence, Gastronomic Experiences, Iconic Attractions and Activities, World-Class Events, Digital Footprint, Smart and Sustainable Tourism, and Community Leadership. The expanded structure welcomes a broader range of businesses and individuals, reflecting the diversity of Qatar’s tourism ecosystem.
