Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, held a phone call on Sunday, August 2, 2026, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait HE Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
During the call, they reviewed the cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, as well as the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts exerted and the joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and promote security and stability in the region.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of all parties remaining committed to dialogue and diplomacy and implementing the understandings reached under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the United States and Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, in order to safeguard regional security, preserve the progress achieved, and promote regional stability.
His Excellency renewed the State of Qatar's full support for all efforts aimed at defusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves lasting peace in the region.
