Doha, Qatar: The Social Protection and Rehabilitation Center (Aman), one of the centers operating under the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, has launched the “Learn with Aman” initiative to provide educational support for children benefiting from its services, as part of its summer awareness programmes and in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
The initiative was inaugurated in the presence of Assistant CEO of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work Khalid Al Kuwari, directors of its affiliated social centres, and a representative from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
As part of the initiative, Aman has established an internal classroom within its residential care department to deliver a simplified and integrated educational programme tailored to the needs of children. The programme aims to equip them with foundational academic skills in a safe and supportive environment while preparing them for successful integration into mainstream schools.
The initiative is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, represented by the Curriculum Standards and Learning Resources Department, to ensure that the educational programme aligns with Qatar’s national curriculum and meets recognised educational standards.
The “Learn with Aman” initiative targets children receiving residential care services who face educational challenges. It focuses on strengthening literacy, numeracy and writing skills, while also developing personal skills and self-confidence to help children transition smoothly into formal education and continue their academic journey.
Acting Executive Director of Aman, Fadhel Al Kaabi, said the initiative stems from the centre’s belief that education is a fundamental right for every child and one of the most effective tools for protection and empowerment.
