DOHA: The Airport Security Department at the Hamad International Airport has opened an office at the Departures Terminal to issue temporary entry permits for representatives of companies, institutions, authorities and ministries. The office is located in the departures lounge of the airport in front of counters for weighing baggage.
It will issue only temporary pass for a day while passes valid for a week, month or year can be obtained from main office of the Airport Security Department, Lieutenant Hamad Murad Abdullah, Permits Officer, Airport Security Department, said yesterday.
He added that any party wishing to enter Hamad International Airport must bring a copy of the passport or ID card (for citizens), a copy of residence or visit visa (for residents) and photograph and fill up the provisional security permit application along with a letter from the employer, explaining the purpose of visit and the areas to which entry is required.
After security clearance, the permit will be issued.
He urged the permit holder to display the pass prominently inside the airport and produce it on request.
Permit holders shouldn’t enter an area not mentioned in the security clearance, he added. He asked permit holders to ensure it does not fall into unauthorised hands and should not try to change data on the permit. The Permit Office can be contacted on 2351412 – 2351325. The Peninsula
