13 dead, 24 injured in NE Nigeria market attack: Red Cross

Maiduguri, Nigeria--Thirteen were people were killed and 24 injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up at a crowded market in the northeast Nigerian city of Maiduguri on Tuesday, the Nigerian Red Cross said.

The Red Cross' northeast Nigeria spokesman Umar Sadiq said in a text message that there were "13 dead and 24 injured" who were taken to two hospitals in the city for treatment to their injuries.
