Amman: King Abdullah II of Jordan discussed in a phone call Monday with Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni the serious and menacing escalation in the region.
During the call, King Abdullah confirmed rejection of the assaults on Jordan and a number of Arab nations, emphasising the importance of pursuing dialogue as the overriding way for crisis resolution.
For her part, Meloni expressed her condemnation of the Iranian attacks, asserting Italy's commitment to working with Jordan and partners to de-escalate the tensions.
