Doha, Qatar: The activities of the “Ahlan Ramadan” programme were launched under the organisation of the Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center.
The programme includes the organisation of the “Ramadan Forum,” which aims to introduce Islamic culture, as well as the “Ahlan Ramadan” programme for Muslim communities in various languages. The programme features lectures and religious exhortations for different communities.
Preacher Amrullah Dimbangan spoke in the “Ahlan Ramadan” programme for the Filipino Muslim community about the importance of making good use of time in obedience and benefiting from the best season of the year.
The lecture was attended by 450 members of the Filipino Muslim community. He also delivered the Friday sermon at the center’s mosque before an audience of 1,000 people, addressing the opportunity for forgiveness in Ramadan and the vastness of Allah’s mercy.
On the other hand, preacher Shahid Farooqi spoke before 750 Malayalam speakers about preparing for the Hereafter, explaining that death and one’s appointed time are in the hands of Allah, and that one should prepare to meet Allah Almighty by drawing closer to Him and adhering to obedience and worship. Preacher Aghar Abdul Hamid discussed the virtues of Ramadan with the Tamil-speaking community, attended by 250 people, emphasising the importance of making good use of time in worship and righteous deeds.
