MoI lists umbrellas, drones as prohibited items in the stadium

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior has listed prohibited items that football fans should refrain from bringing to the stadiums as the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 begins.

The Ministry listed the prohibited items on its social media to include glasswares, umbrellas, pets, perfume bottles, flags and banners that exceed 2x1.5m in size, mugs and cans.

Also prohibited are laser pointers, selfie sticks, drones and professional cameras.

The FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 competition kicks off today, with Tunisia facing Syria in Group A at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium while Qatar will meet Palestine in the other group match, following a spectacular opening ceremony.

Matches will also be played at Education City Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium and Stadium 974, with the final scheduled for December 18 at Lusail Stadium.
