DOHA: The basketball coaching course –for the physical education teachers and assistants coaches of local sport clubs organised by the Qatar Olympic Academy (QOA) concluded recently.
The trainees received theoretical and practical lessons in basketball skills, during the course.
The five-day course brought together 64 trainees comprising of physical education teachers and assistant coaches.
The course closing session was attended by Saif Mohammad Al Naimi, the QOA Executive Director, Mohammad Al Sebaie, Assistant Secretary General of the Qatar Basketball Federation and Dr Ayman Al Kiki, Head of the QOA Coaches Section.
Meanwhile, Jefferson Santosh Pereira and Alex claimed the title of Qatar’s second Beach Volleyball Series which concluded on Sunday at Al Gharafa Arena.
In the final match, Jefferson and Alex defeated Matteo and Paolo Ingrosso 21-19 24-22 .
Moreover, Ahmed Tijan and Cherif Younousse settled in the third place after beating Mohammad Ebaisha and Abdulaziz Khalouf 2-0 on Sunday.
Mohammad Ali Al Mohannadi, Secretary General of the Qatar Volleyball Association and Chairman of Beach Volleyball Committee crowned the winning teams.
Elsewhere, the Qatar Volleyball League is taking place at Al Arabi Stadium.
