Doha: Qatari Businessmen Association in conjunction with Inside Investor will conduct Inside Investor Forum Asia 2012 to identify bilateral investment opportunities in Asean and GCC countries on October 8 and 9 here. The event will allow local company executives to discuss with their regional and international opposite numbers investment opportunities in private and public sectors in Asia. The forum will focus on a broad spectrum of opportunities in Southeast Asia and in GCC member states, be it in oil and gas, finance, infrastructure, food security, real estate, technology, environmental techniques, technical training, or others. It will bring together officials, investors and company executives from Asean nations and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to identify bilateral investment opportunities in both regions. Senior executives from more than 100 companies will attend the forum. More than 500 delegates are confirmed and 46 speakers are scheduled to discuss the latest investment trends, opportunities, partnerships and portfolio diversification strategies.
QFIB signs share purchase agreement with Saudi Printing and Packaging Co
Doha: Qatar First Investment Bank (QFIB) has signed a share purchase agreement with Saudi Printing and Packaging Co (SPPC) to sell its 71.3 percent stake in Emirates National Factory for Plastic Industries (ENPI Group), the leading manufacturer of plastic packaging solutions. QFIB acquired a 71.3 percent stake in ENPI in July 2009 and since then has played an instrumental role in streamlining the business, institutionalising operations and expanding its manufacturing base to include Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia hence cementing ENPI’s position as leading player in the plastic packaging solutions industry. In 2011, QFIB facilitated the Dh250m syndicated Islamic facility arranged by Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank. The facility was used to expand and strengthen ENPI’s production platform. QNA
