Doha, Qatar: Birla Public School reaffirmed its commitment to professional excellence, continuous learning, and holistic student development by organising a comprehensive series of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) sessions for its teachers from August 23 to 27, 2026.
Designed to strengthen pedagogical practices and enhance the quality of classroom experiences, the programme brought together educators across subject areas and grade levels.
The sessions focused on inclusive education, competency-based teaching and learning, assessment literacy, innovative pedagogy, collaborative learning, technology integration, differentiated instruction, and teacher well-being.
The programme commenced on August 23 with an engaging session on “Mindfulness”, led by the School Principal, Dr. Anand R Nair. The session highlighted the importance of mindfulness and well-being in fostering a positive, balanced, and nurturing educational environment. Teachers explored practical approaches to incorporating mindfulness into both their professional and personal lives.
The Counselling Department conducted a dedicated session on “Identifying & Supporting CWSN (Children with Special Needs)”, aimed at enhancing teachers’ awareness and understanding of diverse learning needs. The session addressed the identification and classroom support of CWSN students and highlighted relevant CBSE concessions and provisions, enabling teachers to implement appropriate academic and classroom accommodations more effectively.
From August 24 to 26, teachers of Grades KG to V participated in a series of interactive sessions facilitated by Dr. Dhanya Bhaskaran. The sessions, titled, “Making Classrooms Talk,” “Competency-Based Teaching & Learning,” and “Assessment for Learning,” focused on strengthening classroom interaction, promoting competency-based learning, and using assessment as an integral part of the learning process. Through hands-on activities, collaborative discussions, and the exchange of classroom experiences, teachers explored effective ways to increase student participation, identify learning gaps, and make teaching and learning more purposeful.
