Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, received HE Nikolaos Georgios Dendias, Minister of National Defense of the Hellenic Republic, who is currently visiting the country on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
During the meeting, they reviewed the cooperation between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, especially in the field of defense, and discussed the developments of the military escalation in the region as well as its serious repercussions on regional and international security and stability, and ways to resolve all disputes by peaceful means.
The Prime Minister affirmed, during the meeting, the necessity of stopping the unjustified Iranian aggressions against Qatar and the countries of the region, warning in this context of the consequences of the irresponsible targeting of vital infrastructure, particularly that related to water and food and energy facilities.
His Excellency also stressed the necessity of enhancing coordination and intensifying joint efforts, returning to the negotiating table, and prevailing the language of reason and wisdom to contain the crisis, in a way that ensures global energy security, freedom of navigation, environmental safety, and preserves regional stability.
