24 PKK terrorists killed in south-east: Turkish military

ANKARA: Twenty-four PKK terrorists were killed on Thursday in southeastern Turkey, the country’s military has said.

In a statement, the Turkish General Staff said that five terrorists were killed in the Nusaybin district of Mardin province, which increased the total number of the terrorists killed there to 148.
In addition, three terrorists were also killed in Sirnak province where 126 terrorists have been killed so far.
In the Yuksekova district of Hakkari province, 16 terrorists were also killed during operations, bringing the total number killed so far to 110, the army said.
Several weapons and IEDs were also seized during the operations, the statement added.
The PKK - listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU - resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July. Since then, more than 350 members of the security forces have been martyred and thousands of PKK terrorists killed.
