Squash: Qatar Junior Open begins today

DOHA: The five-day Qatar Junior Open squash tournament will commence from today, the Qatar Squash Federation (QSF) informed here yesterday.
The event to be held at the Khalifa International Squash Complex will end on March 5.
The event is an Asian Squash Federation Junior Super Series Silver event and  a World Squash Federation (WSF) World Junior Circuit event organized by QSF. 
Participants will receive WSF ranking points in Under-19 and  ASF ranking points in all other categories. The Qatar Junior Open will be followed by Doha Junior Open which will be held from March 6 to 10.
Competitions will be held in the Under-19, U-17, U-15, U-13 and U-11 categories in both events.
A player can enter in only one age category. Qatar’s Abdullah Al Tamimi, who will compete in both the events, leads the hosts challenge in the events.
Players from Pakistan, Iraq, Sri Lanka and Malaysia will be seen in action in the U-19 category.
