Butchery in Madinat Khalifa found violating food law

Health Monitoring Section at Doha Municipality has caught a butchery in Madinat Khalifa South storing food in unhealthy conditions, which is a violation of law number 8 of 1990, which regulates human food control.
The municipality inspectors also caught a grinding mill in the old airport area storing food in unhealthy conditions.

Meanwhile, Al Khor and Al Dakhira Municipality last year conducted 240 inspections, among which 100 were on food outlets, 60 on labour accommodations and 80 to monitor advertisements of commercial outlets and several other places.

The municipality also responded to 18,168 requests for sanitation, 3,097 requests for pest control against insects and rodents, in addition to 111 requests for cutting trees.

Doha Municipality last year responded to 18,614 requests, of which 17,648 were for pest control against insects of various kinds at homes, the other 966 were for action against rodents.

Among the services provided for buildings and other offices, the municipality officials received 54 requests from schools and 78 administrative buildings belonging to ministries and government authorities.

They also undertook pest control at camps and buildings of army, police and civil defence, which totalled 1,344. Officials also monitored stores in Industrial Area (logistics zone), and Al Wukair keeping ration materials.
